Ewa Westman has been immersed in the world of infant massage since 1988, after which she became certified as an Infant Massage Instructor by the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM), coinciding with the program’s introduction in Sweden. Since then, she has shared her expertise not only in her home country and across Europe but also in diverse locations such as China, Turkey, Israel, Russia, Mongolia, Taiwan, Vietnam, India and beyond. Holding roles as both an IAIM Senior Trainer and Trainer Consultant, she has played a pivotal role in training IAIM International Trainers worldwide.
Her dedication to the IAIM extends beyond teaching;
Ewa has served on the IAIM International Board, Legal Committee, Committee for Trainer Candidates, Committee for Continuing Education, and supported the founding of IAIM Chapters in Finland, Taiwan, Israel, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey, Croatia.
The professionals she has trained as IAIM infant massage instructors come from a diverse range of backgrounds, including nursing, early childhood education, pediatrics, psychology, midwifery, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and social work.
Ewa Westman’s extensive experience in infant massage is evident through her contributions as an IAIM trainer, where she has undoubtedly led countless workshops, classes, and training sessions for caregivers and professionals worldwide. Her work focuses on imparting knowledge of infant massage techniques, nurturing the bond between caregivers and infants, and promoting the holistic development of babies.
Her involvement with India reflects her commitment to spreading infant massage education and training programs globally. Over the past four years, she has actively supported and promoted these initiatives in India through her affiliation with the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM).
